Briquettes

Fuel For Future Industries

Biomass briquettes are 90 mm diameter in cylindrical shape made from agriculture waste or wood waste. Widely used in pharmaceutical, FMCG, Chemical, food processing and beverages etc, biomass briquette are cost effective and carbon neutral with minimal impact on environment. The usage of briquettes increases the farmer income and supports rural employment.

Current Scenario for Fossil Fuel usage

India has 200 million tonnes of agriculture surplus which has NO alternate use – which can help achieve ~10% co-firing to India’s 196,000 MW of power generation and significant reductions in energy consumption, and solid waste generation, as well as reduced carbon emissions.

Why it’s economical for big industries to purchase briquettes instead of coal

How do we source our products?

Biomass Briquettes: (diameter- 60mm to 90 mm); Raw material – Agriculture waste – Soybean husk, Cotton stalk, Mustard stalk, Chana husk, Ground nut shells, Coffee husk, Toor stalk, – Industrial waste: Bagasse, Press Mud, Tea power, Saw mill waste – Wood waste: Wood Chips, Saw dust, Garden waste USAGE: Industrial Boiler Furnaces, Thermopacks, Burners, Brick Kilns, Cement Kilns, Power Plant

Primarily briquettes are classified in 3 types.

Sawdust briquettes , Agriculture waste briquettes and Garden waste briquettes

Sawdust briquettes

These are made from sawmill wastage, wood chips and forest waste. Due to lowest amount of chlorine and ash percentage sawdust briquettes are widely used in small capacity boilers

  • Wood moisture percentage is higher compared to briquettes. In monsoon, wood moisture can be 45-50 %
  • Wood size is inconsistent and Briquettes are uniform in size which allows better combustion
  • Availability of wood is always a concern due to increasingly regulatory issue
